2 Creative things to do with pen boxes!

NOTE :: I'm making Maximum use of the boxes so you don't have to save any or discard. (: Just be Creative & find matching things if you don't have the exact things done in this tutorial.
----------------------------------------------------

1) A STAR!

All You Need is :
1) Pen Boxes
2) Normal Glue
3) Sharp pen or Knife to make a hole
4) A Metal Wire to hang the Star on wall..

How to do :

1) Take each box & get the Bottom part of it. In this tutorial i'm using the bottom part for the star. Only in the next tutorial i'l be using the other half of the box. Below are the Pen Boxes i'v used.. Just for you to get a clear understanding of what i'v used in here.,

2) Take each and fit them to make a triangle..I'v created a collage of the corners of my triangle. Your corner should look like this..& make sure you keep each corner this way (Otherwise it would be uneven)

& Make another triangle exactly like that.

3) Make a hole at the edge of one triangle with a Knife or Pen. & Get the Metal Wire and screw it into the hole. Do this by turning the wire around from inside. and sticking it tight to a corner so the wire wont come out.

4) Then get one triangle and paste it on the other triangle to make it look like a star! Paste it with normal glue and yes it'll paste like miracles :P But make sure you don't touch every 5 seconds.

5) Hang it! (:

------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
2 ) AN ORNAMENT!

All you need :
1) The extra pen boxes left from the earlier tutorial above.
2) A transparent glass.
3) Multibond or something that''ll paste glass.
4) A Box to fit into the size of what we make. I got a it out of a wedding invitation box. Be creative & find out what you can use too. (:
5) Sand like around half a tin?
6) Paint, Acrylics or Glass Paint. (I used Glass Paint)
7) Bowl to mix in, Paint Brush.

STEPS :

1) Fix each of the leftover pen boxes and make a box like we did in the above tutorial.  To the left are the Pen Boxes i got. To the right is he box we're making. Fix 3 sides & before finishing the left one go to step 2.

2) Now get the box and put it inside and close it with the last pen box. My box was green & i got it from a wedding invitation box :P To the right is the invitation box(I uploaded so you can get an idea what i got). To the left is what i used for my tutorial out of the whole box.

The corner should fit in like this,

This is what i got after doing it... The pic to the left is the front view & the one at the right is the back view.. (The invitation box actualy had a nice back to it) ;)

3) Get sand. Pour some sand onto the box. If you prefer you can take out the box and do this and put it back in again at the end of the tutorial. Make one layer of sand. Keep space on top for one more layer.

4) Seperate any amount of sand and color each with a different color. Your sand mixture should come like this,

5) Now Place the sand you colored on a corner of the box. I'm doing a zebra like design on it with some outlines in a dark color. Choose your own design and place your colors the way you want to make your design.

Since mine was like zebra strips in various colors i place mine in a zigzag shape. After i did otehrs too the same way, at the end i mixed around two to three colors & made a darker color almost brown, and outlined.
This is what i got,

6) Now place the box inside the Pen box square you made. If you did with that box you don't need to do anything.
7) Then after, paste the glass with Multibond on the pen boxes. IF you have an exact matched size of glass you can paste it on the inner side of the Pen boxes; so when you look into it, you see the sand design a bit further down from the glass.

That's it!! You can use this for a hall or whatever.
Now you get the first picture i posted at the start of the tutorial. Make your version!
Enjoy! xx
