2013 Calender Plan!

Christmas aside, 2013 is settling in..and are you even ready? did you make new plans for the new year? I came up with a really cool calendar planner to mark all your to do lists in it.. ;)

Each color from the start represents the month from January to December. And on top if you click the picture to enlarge and see, you'd see that I've written the month on it...and I've had the month written as 1 aswell. Oh and at the bottom you could always write down the date, incase you want it. I forgot to do that part.

So here we go,

All you need is :

1) Stick it Notes, or any square shaped color papers..You'll need 365 of them, If you are picking in colors, just get around the same colors but you can always mix them like i have to get a nicer effect.
{ For this i got a few papers for each month so i thought later when i'm out of papers i can paste more, so better use stick it notes ;) }

2) Glue to customize the calender and a marker to write the font down..or you can print that part out. Siccor if needed.

3) A box.. which you will be pasting these stick it notes on. ( I used a top cover of a gift box you get in stores)

That's it! Let's start!

How to do :

1) Get the box first. There's nothing much about this step, but i'm putting it so you can get an idea of what sort of box cover was mine.  It's flat surface(the silver flowerish surface was what i used in this tutorial. Other side was used to hang it on a nail on the wall. That way you can't even see whether it's pasted onto your wall or hung up. ;)

Mine was like this,

2) Alright now get stick it notes and paste it. Check how many days the month has, and then count enough stick it notes for the month and then paste that set in one corner and write on ti saying January. Like that, finish all the months until you get to to the very end of December.

Here's how mine came, mine didn't paste from the back very well onto the box, so i put some glue to hold it. Since i put glue ONLY on the back, you can use all stick it notes except the last one. Oh and remember i used to stick it notes, so just incase you got one wrong..you can always paste another on top. ;)

3) Name them! And now customize your calender the way you want! And remember to add 2013 on it! =P

Hehehe Enjoy!! (:

Christmas Hanging Decoration using fabric!

Want to try something new for your Christmas tree using fabric? Its a simple easy to do stitch process using a bracket stitch.

Well i figured out this is really pretty and since its home made, its really nice to have something like this on your home Christmas tree... (:

I've made a heart and a top part of a deer only..you can make more like a small Christmas tree or a Santa, anything!

So lets start..

What you need :
1) A fabric of your choice. Make sure it suits Christmas and something that will look nice on your Christmas tree..Need quite a lot of it, because we're gonna put fabric inside it aswel.
2) A red ribbon
3) A needle and thread of your choice matching to the fabric.
4) Glue that pastes well...Superglue?
5) A button for the eye, a red cloth for the deer's collar...OR any accessory that'll brighten up the decoration.
6) Pair of Siccors.

How to start :

1) Take the fabric of your choice & fold it into 2. Reason is you need to pieces of the same design to stitch this. and cutting it at the same time is easier.

Mine was a golden color one. And draw the simple design you want. The details can be done through buttons and ribbons or laces.. I did a heart and a deer so i'l show you how i stitched them.

So in the first step, you draw the design you want on it. I drew my deer, but i didn't need to draw the heart. I used ofcorse a permanent marker so it'll visibly show in the picture for your'll but sometimes when you so if you don't cut avoiding the lines, it will be visible... So try drawing it with a pen.

Here's the deer i drew,

2) Cut the design. So you get two pieces of what you drew...

3) Next you're gonna stitch them together. So get a matching thread and also get a needle. Follow these instructions in the collage and proceed with the bracket stitch until a certain point where you have atleast 5 inches long space. Meaning you should stop before five inches from where you started to sew, so then you have space to fill the inside of the deer.

I hope you see the steps? Well i'll just note them down anyway for you. Hope you understand, if there's any questions, comment below & ask (:

Follow the steps noted below aswell..gives a clear definition of what i couldn't write in the collage. Please press the picture to enlarge it and see... (:

1) Sew these two hearts together one on one with the bracket stitch.
2) After sewing one normal stitch for the start (the not).... Identify the spot to start sewing with the needle.
3) Send the needle through the spot you chose.
4) Lower the thread so the needle comes onto the top.
5) Curve that thread to the opposite side, with the needle still on the top.
6) Send the needle through.
7) Tighten the stitch you just sew.
8) Continue until atleast five inches before the start and stop there.

Ends up like this after sewing, i' not sure whether you can see the space i haven't sewed though..
See where the thread is, from there atleast 4 or 5 inches haven't been sewn. can you see?

---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

4) Alright so now, get more fabric and start filling the inside of this. Make it look puffy and stiff. So its gonna look like in the below picture, and then sew the rest of it with the bracket stitch again.

5) Done! now make it look nice! The deer has to have an eye and making it have a collar looked cute...! (:

I used a button which was sewn onto something else. And i cut it straight from the back so it has that stitch still in front, i thought its cool. And so anyway i just pasted it with the super glue to the spot where the eye is supposed to be!

I also took a strip of red cloth, and folded them in so the edged of the cloth can't be seen, that way i didn't need to sew it..And then i pasted it with super glue again around the neck of the deer to make it look like a collar and i cut the access parts.

You can do anything else you wish! Be creative! (:

6) Use a small strip of the red ribbon, and paste them to the back of the deer's head. I did the same to the heart aswell.

That's all! At the end my result was this :

Try it ! Be creative & Enjoy! (:

X'mas Painting i did with a splash of a No-Sew bow!

Isn't much i know.. :D but i wanted my room to have something unique. Its not like this is the only painting i did in my though, i actually after painting this don't have anymore space left much to draw alot more :P

Oh & i'll just give an outline how to paint it for those who find it hard to draw and paint this... I used particlurly only two deers because i didn't have space to draw more..the first deer almost reach the ceiling.

Oh plus my window like whatever thing my mum decided to put in my room,
made me less space..so i just ignored that part and drew...

And i will do the bow seperatly. It'd be the last step i do..

What you need :
1) Paint, i used water colors (Red, White & Green, Yellow, Brown & black) <--- totally bright colors!
2) Paint brush ( Possibly two sizes, a number 0 & a number 3 or 4? )
3) Large space on any wall in any room you want to paint it in
4) A small sponge piece
5) A pencil and a eraser
6)Water in a cup
4) A cloth to wipe extra paint
5) Ladder or chair if your drawing is really high
6) Plate (optional, just to keep paint and water together when you're going up the ladder to paint)

If you're interested in doing the bow..
1) A red cloth that suits Christmas [ 40cm ( width) &  30cm (height) ] <---- Doesn't matter whether there's a small design..
2) A smaller square shaped white or transparent lace..or cloth. Mine was a mix of both.
3) Celotape or glue so you can stick it to the wall

How to do :

1) Start by drawing this sketch for the outline. I already told its your wish to look at this tutorial if you aren't good at drawing...I know there's some people who have problems drawing big, and specially neither am i even good in art, so its really hard to draw sometimes..so just draw this one bigger on your wall, and you can always have your own version!

You don't have to be a great artist, just draw this roughly without details. Just draw the spaces in between Santa..and then draw the deer in its shape. If a line goes out of shape, just erase it..don't worry  i know the line will only fade, but in this picture you're actually covering the drawing details in white paint. So you don't have to worry that Santa's details cannot be seen or anything. (:

I didn't have a red wall as you know, my one was a bit yellowish. Despite that, i colored a red line around it to make it suite Christmas like. Will get to that part later.

You can choose to draw the snowflakes your wish.

2) After drawing it.. get red paint and the water cup and keep the together on a plate and also get the sponge. Get up on the ladder or chair (if its higher) and start wetting the sponge a teeny tiny little bit in the water and then apply lot of red paint over the sponge. and mix it a little with the water so it becomes less thick. Apply them outwards outlining the drawing. Don't worry about any ugliness that may cause if it goes inside the drawing, you can always cover it up.

3) Next apply a thick version making the red paint a lot more brighter than the outline you did before. Oh and make sure when you're painting this, that you have it a little lower than the before outline. and beware of applying too much water to the sponge, it might start dripping from  the painting which will make it messy. Look at the picture below on the left for extra details.

4) Now get white paint..and color the inside with you paint brush make it white. Even if your wall is white, it doesn't matter, coloring the whole thing again will make it look like a full picture. Make sure every space is colored.

5) Now outline with a smaller brush..Mix black paint with a tinyy little bit of water. Don't mess it up! this is what highlight everything. And have a very thin line, doesn't matter if it gets thick a bit just don't make it look odd.

6) Now paint a little green. I used the spacious parts and put a little something that looks more like a Christmas decoration. I used bright green, yellow, a little of brown and mixed them and sponged those with a tiny bit of water and sponged it on the wall in the shape of the painting inwards. Do a little bit of shading. Make it too much greenish yellow, with a mix of brown..if it gets really brownish, try using white and sponging over again.
Like this picture below,

I did that in two places, you can see that if you look at the full picture again.
----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

7) THE BOW!

A decoration i put there to light it up. I didn't have glitter or anything, but if you want you can brighten it up with glitter, accessories and all that! (:

So how to make this No-Sew easy Christmas bow? Look below.

You get the size of that red cloth i told you. Since already there is green in the picture i only wanted more white and red together.

And proceed with these steps below. Easy as that.. I made a collage so you can look straight at it without scrolling down.

The bow as a result should be puffy.
The rest of the bow all i did was, Get a long bit wide cloth and just send it through the not and move it to the bottom of the bow. And i also stuck in a white transparent material i found to make it have an effect of something nicer.

Looks dark at the corners of the bow, but if you really looked at my materiel in the collage..you'd see it has a small black design randomly.

A larger picture of what i ended up with at the end... (:

That's it!
Enjoy!

Make a shoe with beads!

Want to make this little beauty over here on the left? Its purely done with beads and its not to be used in reality. Its actually only like an Ornament. Bead Shoes really can't be worn, haha if you want try, but don't blame me if they break suddenly =P

(There's a bunch of pictures of what i made at the end of the tutorial)

You can make heels, slippers, shoes, court shoes, flats any type you wish! But really i only made one shoe, because it was tough when beads were pasting on my fingers and wouldn't get off >.<

Oh and before i have posted a tutorial on how to make Table Mats with beads, check that out too, if you don't find the tutorial, search in the search tab just before my picture int he sidebar. This is something related 'coz its also done with beads! Don't get confused, i'm giving an idea to do with beads..try different stuff out, maybe you'll come up with something new too! (:

REMEMBER THERE's A VIDEO AT THE END with all the steps.. ;)

What to get :
1) Beads of any colors you choose depending on what you really want it to be like.

2) Multibond & a brush/ stick to apply it with. SHOULD BE SOMETHING THAT PASTES VERY WELL.

3) Depending on what you're making..decorations for them. I used some dry magenta petals bought from the store, a bow made with lace and ribbon of a goldish cream color, and a gold strap for the shoe cut from a slipper i don't use.

4) Cardboard & a black leather like paper. I got mine together cut out from a file book which my dad had. The point of this is, to make the top layer of the shoe look prettier and so when someone where's the bead shoe, they keep their leg on that black leather like paper+ cardboard. Its almost like what you see in shoes.

That's all!
Now let's try it..

How to start :

1) Start off by getting your beads and creating a base structure for your shoe. I will show you how to make the picture i have uploaded at the top. So your gonna have to have a base structure first for the front part of the shoe, which is a bump. Paste them with Multibond. So make a base for that. Like this,

Although i have actually done only that front part, it was because i thought i was going to make a heel, but hen while i was pasting the blue beads...i lost my focus and my thoughts wandered off while i was pasting them. Soo it became a flat =/ =P Anyhow you ca always make a full base if you think that's quite comfortable which i think would be a good idea rather than making that base after. (:

The beads should be in order and NOT pasted all over like the blue ones at the back -_- (They pasted accidently and dried and i got annoyed with it so yeah. Try to be very patient 'coz i'm not patient. =P )

2) Next Lift a bead layer more each time to take it higher like this,

WATCH THE VIDEO AT THE VERY BOTTOM OF THE TUTORIAL TO SEE A SLIDESHOW OF HOW I GLUED THE BEADS UP AS LAYERS. (:

And after that keep lifting a layer at a time using Multibond till you reach a level where you think you should bend the curve for the front.

3) This is the hardest part. When you come to the bend, start curving your beads and lessening them when you're arriving to the top. You will have to curve this bend so there will be space inside for you to put your toe in. Meaning that part will be empty. So apply some Multibond on the bead, tiny little bit and then paste a bead and go on like before. Remember they won't fall off because the glue i told you to use dries like in 1 second, trust me. So you don't even have to hold it so much but just Incase since it tends to fall down abit 'coz of the weight....lift it with your hand at times just so Incase it won't tumble down.

Make sure to get a proper bend just like you get in a shoe.

Be patient, beads always will paste in your hands..so let it dry abit and then try pasting again.

MORE IMAGES IN THE SLIDESHOW IN THE VIDEO! (:

4)  Curve the bend you made to the base. Use the beads and paste them curving layer by layer to the shoe size and design. Its not really hard now at all but more like pasting bricks to build a wall, but make this wall alot thick because its a shoe not a wall =P

Use any colors you want, use your head and curve the beads with the colors you want slowly, don't mess it up!

5) Use the cardboard and black leather like paper you got now. Cut the cardboard in the size of the shoe inside. Like this, & then put a black paper on top of it and glue everything and glue it onto the shoe and hold it till it stick and pastes properly. The bend and the inside of the front shoe should be covered too. In the end it'll look like this =D

I didn't get a chance to take a picture after i put this big part inside. But all you have to do is paste that! (: inside. And then that's done!

6)  That's all for the shoe making! =D Its not easy as the steps look i know, but this was my faviourite part. Don't mind if the shoe comes, one part small and one part big or whatever. Where there's lace and ribbons..there's always a cover up! ;)

Oh and in this step get the strap you got for this and paste it inbetween the cardboard and the beads so it won't show it's actually pasted ;) My gold strap was very tough so it didn't move at all...you should use one like that!

Use various cute things you can paste, such as ribbons, laces, more colorful beads, glitter..etc. (:
Here's my version :

Enjoy this video... ;) Its got all the steps and if its not clear, make it wide from the corner button.. ;) Its shown in different angles ;)

Hope it came out right for you! Good luck!
Enjoy! xx

Make your own Lolipops with Melted Crayons!

Ever wanted to fake some lollipops?  And yes i know i'v done on fake milkshakes and all, but this is way cooler  =D You've gotta try this to know how awesome it is.

Now with Melting Crayons you can do lots more, i'm sure if you search them you'd get a lot of creative results! And this was my idea of it (i don't know, maybe someone else has done it too =P )

Crayons melt because they're made of wax. So it dries very soon too just like candle wax.

So let's get on with it! ;)

What you need :
1) Crayons (lots of the cheap ones of your fave colours)
2) Matches & Candles
3) Toothpicks

4) An egg box or whatever you can make the shape for the Lolipops from.. =D You can even use a pan? depending on what you really want (say your baking pies)

5) Tracing Paper or Oil Paper (Optional)
6) Small Knife

Now to start :

1) Begin with getting your Oil paper and the box of structure your going to make it in. Put a small Oil Paper layer in it. This is to make sure the Melted Wax doesn't absorb to the structure box. In my case, the egg box! Note it says its optional. ;)

I got the egg box because eggs are round and obviously they have to sit in a oval shape until they get home safe =P So in my case when you melt the Crayons into it, you will have a great half circled shape.

2) Slowly melt your faviourite colors of Crayon into the Oil Paper. If you don't have Oil Paper its fine, Just melt it onto it. The color you put in is the base color and it would actually be the flavor of the lollipop.

Its really easy if you'd burn this with a Candle and not a match and also if you're using a candle, you can get a rather cool effect in your lollipop by melting the whole candle till the last two inches (and obviously you fingers will burn so..) keep the candle inside the malted Crayon and melt the rest of it so it blends into the melted ones.
You need a lot of Crayons mind you if you want to get a bigger one.

Also its better to take the Oil Paper off after you have melted the Crayons, otherwise your lollipops will have weird shapes, trust me, it happened. Your gonna have something like this in the end otherwise :

3) Next get a toothpick after your melted Crayons have come to its maximum place of melting and you don't have any space more. Place it right in the middle, bit angled so it doesn't look perfect and hold it on for a lot longer like say fifty seconds? hoping that it will stay, try taking your fingers off of it to see.

4) Once it is done too wait like half an hour till it dries, and trust me its wax so it will. ;) Then crop it out with a knife. If there are bumps and all, its alright just cut it out avoiding the bump, yo can always make it perfect once you take it out 'coz to dry actually overall it should take one hour at least.

5) Next Fix the errors. If there are bumps and its too dried to make it with your fingers, burn it a little and it will melt. Use something to poke it and fix it.

6) Decorate if you want any toppings like chocolate nuts or whatever? I don't know.. depending on what you like.

7) Burn a delicious topping! As you can see in the below picture i have put red into my yellowish one. All i did was, i told someone to hole the lollipop for me, and i burnt a crayon fro top so it just falls down like a topping.

8) Make it shine abit? I have put some hair cream for the time being to give it a small shine. Its fake afterall, but really in reality it doesn't shine this much =D

Easy as that!
Try it if you like it. ;)
Enjoy! xx
