X'mas Painting i did with a splash of a No-Sew bow!

Isn't much i know.. :D but i wanted my room to have something unique. Its not like this is the only painting i did in my though, i actually after painting this don't have anymore space left much to draw alot more :P

Oh & i'll just give an outline how to paint it for those who find it hard to draw and paint this... I used particlurly only two deers because i didn't have space to draw more..the first deer almost reach the ceiling.

Oh plus my window like whatever thing my mum decided to put in my room,
made me less space..so i just ignored that part and drew...

And i will do the bow seperatly. It'd be the last step i do..

What you need :
1) Paint, i used water colors (Red, White & Green, Yellow, Brown & black) <--- totally bright colors!
2) Paint brush ( Possibly two sizes, a number 0 & a number 3 or 4? )
3) Large space on any wall in any room you want to paint it in
4) A small sponge piece
5) A pencil and a eraser
6)Water in a cup
4) A cloth to wipe extra paint
5) Ladder or chair if your drawing is really high
6) Plate (optional, just to keep paint and water together when you're going up the ladder to paint)

If you're interested in doing the bow..
1) A red cloth that suits Christmas [ 40cm ( width) &  30cm (height) ] <---- Doesn't matter whether there's a small design..
2) A smaller square shaped white or transparent lace..or cloth. Mine was a mix of both.
3) Celotape or glue so you can stick it to the wall

How to do :

1) Start by drawing this sketch for the outline. I already told its your wish to look at this tutorial if you aren't good at drawing...I know there's some people who have problems drawing big, and specially neither am i even good in art, so its really hard to draw sometimes..so just draw this one bigger on your wall, and you can always have your own version!

You don't have to be a great artist, just draw this roughly without details. Just draw the spaces in between Santa..and then draw the deer in its shape. If a line goes out of shape, just erase it..don't worry  i know the line will only fade, but in this picture you're actually covering the drawing details in white paint. So you don't have to worry that Santa's details cannot be seen or anything. (:

I didn't have a red wall as you know, my one was a bit yellowish. Despite that, i colored a red line around it to make it suite Christmas like. Will get to that part later.

You can choose to draw the snowflakes your wish.

2) After drawing it.. get red paint and the water cup and keep the together on a plate and also get the sponge. Get up on the ladder or chair (if its higher) and start wetting the sponge a teeny tiny little bit in the water and then apply lot of red paint over the sponge. and mix it a little with the water so it becomes less thick. Apply them outwards outlining the drawing. Don't worry about any ugliness that may cause if it goes inside the drawing, you can always cover it up.

3) Next apply a thick version making the red paint a lot more brighter than the outline you did before. Oh and make sure when you're painting this, that you have it a little lower than the before outline. and beware of applying too much water to the sponge, it might start dripping from  the painting which will make it messy. Look at the picture below on the left for extra details.

4) Now get white paint..and color the inside with you paint brush make it white. Even if your wall is white, it doesn't matter, coloring the whole thing again will make it look like a full picture. Make sure every space is colored.

5) Now outline with a smaller brush..Mix black paint with a tinyy little bit of water. Don't mess it up! this is what highlight everything. And have a very thin line, doesn't matter if it gets thick a bit just don't make it look odd.

6) Now paint a little green. I used the spacious parts and put a little something that looks more like a Christmas decoration. I used bright green, yellow, a little of brown and mixed them and sponged those with a tiny bit of water and sponged it on the wall in the shape of the painting inwards. Do a little bit of shading. Make it too much greenish yellow, with a mix of brown..if it gets really brownish, try using white and sponging over again.
Like this picture below,

I did that in two places, you can see that if you look at the full picture again.

7) THE BOW!

A decoration i put there to light it up. I didn't have glitter or anything, but if you want you can brighten it up with glitter, accessories and all that! (:

So how to make this No-Sew easy Christmas bow? Look below.

You get the size of that red cloth i told you. Since already there is green in the picture i only wanted more white and red together.

And proceed with these steps below. Easy as that.. I made a collage so you can look straight at it without scrolling down.

The bow as a result should be puffy.
The rest of the bow all i did was, Get a long bit wide cloth and just send it through the not and move it to the bottom of the bow. And i also stuck in a white transparent material i found to make it have an effect of something nicer.

Looks dark at the corners of the bow, but if you really looked at my materiel in the collage..you'd see it has a small black design randomly.

A larger picture of what i ended up with at the end... (:

That's it!
Enjoy!
